Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils.  Essential oils are derived from various parts of a plant, such as the seeds, bark, root, leaves, flowers, wood, balsam and resin.  They are wholly natural substances, that have unique therapeutic properties and can affect the body on all levels - physically, mentally and emotionally.  Not only that, they also smell amazing!

Depending on clients needs and personal preference, specific essential oils are selected and blended with a base oil or carrier to apply to the skin as part of a relaxing and nourishing massage treatment using a pressure suited to the individual.

During treatment the oils are effectively absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream and should ideally not be washed off for at least 12 hours.​
